Job summary

Cox Automotive in the United States is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and complex repairs in a mobile/field setting. You will lead diagnostics and triage on trucks, work with customers, and document everything via our TRAIT app.

The role requires DOT compliance, ASE certifications preferred, and the ability to manage parts and schedules with minimal supervision. This position offers a remote-friendly option with travel as required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ related experience or 5 years’ related experience.
• At least 3 years of experience with refrigerated equipment.
• Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM and DOT inspections on light to heavy vehicles in mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, engine, and driveline systems.
• Document work and parts used in RO via TRAIT iOS app; maintain accurate records.
