Job summary

Cox Automotive in the United States is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, PMs, and light-to-medium repairs on client fleets in a mobile/field setting.

You will work under supervision of a senior tech, maintain a company service truck, use iOS TRAIT app for documentation, and meet DOT/FMCSA requirements; a HS diploma and ASE T8 within 18 months are expected.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED; 3 years related work, or 5 years experience alternative.
• Must supply a set of hand tools.
• ASE T8 (PMI) within 18 months.
• DOT/FMCSA regulatory compliance.
• DOT medical card or ability to obtain.
• Must be 21+ and have valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs, DOT inspections and follow-up repairs in mobile/field setting.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, diesel, hydraulic and mechanical systems.
• Test and road test vehicles to verify repairs.
• Document work performed and parts used in TRAIT app.
• Maintain company service truck and safety checks.
