Job summary

Cox Fleet in the United States is hiring a Mobile Diesel & Trailer Technician to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and light repairs on trucks and trailers in a mobile setting. You will work on a schedule Wednesday to Sunday, 1pm–11:30pm, supporting Cox Fleet’s nationwide on-site mobile maintenance services.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or GED with 3+ years in related work, ASE certifications preferred, and must maintain DOT compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with 3 years of related experience (or 5 years alternative).
• Possess a set of hand tools to perform duties.
• DOT regulatory compliance and DOT medical card requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections and PMs on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
• Repair and diagnose electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems.
• Maintain safety checks and pre-/post-trip inspections on the service vehicle.
