Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel & Trailer Technician in the United States to perform DOT inspections, PMs, and light-to-heavy repairs in a mobile/field environment. You’ll diagnose diverse systems, perform electrical and mechanical work, and manage service truck inventory while coordinating with leadership.

The role requires a HS diploma or GED plus 3 years in related work; ASE certifications are preferred and DOT safety regulations apply.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 3 years’ related field experience preferred.
• May consider alternative combinations including additional certifications or degrees in related disciplines.
• Must possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required duties.

Responsabilités

• Perform scheduled PMs, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on light to heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field settings.
• Diagnose, adjust, and repair truck equipment including electrical systems, brakes, cooling, and engine components.
• Inspect, test, and diagnose trailers equipment and systems; perform welding and fabrication as needed.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs; obtain PO numbers and discuss RO findings with management.
• Manage parts inventory on a company service truck and document work with TRAIT app.
