Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel & Trailer Technician to perform licensed DOT inspections, PMs, and repairs in a mobile environment. You will work Tuesday–Saturday, 10am–6:30pm, driving a company service truck and maintaining documentation using TRAIT on an iOS device.

Requirements include a HS diploma or GED with 3 years’ related experience, ASE T8 or equivalent within 18 months, and valid DOT credentials; 100% travel is expected with a strong emphasis on safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ related field experience.
• Possess ASE certification (T8) within 18 months and valid DOT-related credentials.
• Must meet DOT/FMCSA regulatory requirements and pass pre-employment DOT screening.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems; handle trailers and related equipment.
• Document work on Repair Orders using iOS devices and TRAIT app; obtain PO numbers and RO notes.
