Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel & Trailer Technician in Knoxville, TN. The role involves performing licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and various repairs in a mobile/field setting.

You will diagnose electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical issues across trucks and trailers, maintain the service truck, and document work with the TRAIT app. The position requires HS Diploma/GED with 3+ years of related experience or 5 years in the field, ASE T8 certification within 18 months, and

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent with 3 years' related experience; or 5 years' related field experience.
• ASE certification T8 (PMI) within 18 months.
• DOT regulatory pre-employment background screening and DOT physical.
• Must be able to complete DOT medical card requirements or provide card as appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM and DOT inspections on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field environments.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling and engine systems on trucks and trailers.
• Inspect, test, and document findings using company tools and TRAIT app on iOS device.
• Maintain and service company-issued service vehicle and manage daily schedule.
• Coordinate with management and customers to approve repair estimates and orders.
