Job summary

Cox Fleet By Cox Automotive is hiring a Mobile Diesel and Trailer Technician II to service light to heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field setting. You will perform DOT inspections, PMs, and simple repairs, diagnosing and addressing issues with electrical, hydraulic, and engine systems.

The role requires a HS diploma or GED with 3 years' related experience (or equivalently skilled) and ASE T8 certification within 18 months. Excellent communication and safety compliance are essential.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED with 3 yrs related exp; or alternative combination as stated.
• Ready to obtain ASE T8 within 18 months; valid DOT compliance is required.
• Must possess basic hand tools and be able to operate company truck safely.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs, DOT inspections and follow-up repairs on mobile fleet.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, cooling, and engine systems.
• Inspect, test and listen to equipment to diagnose malfunctions using tools and test devices.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and ensure proper operation.
• Maintain service truck, conduct safety checks and document RO entries via TRAIT.
