Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel & Trailer Technician to perform DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and light repairs on trucks and trailers in a mobile/field environment. You will diagnose issues, perform repairs, and ensure fleets stay on the road.

The role requires adherence to safety policies, DOT regulations, and accurate documentation. ASE certifications or willingness to obtain them are preferred. A valid license and clean driving record are beneficial.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with 3 years in a related field, or 5 years relevant experience.
• ASE T3/T4/T5/T6/T7 or ASE 608/609 certifications preferred.
• Valid DOT regulations knowledge and ability to pass DOT pre-employment background and DOT physical.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs and DOT inspections on light to heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field settings.
• Diagnose, adjust and repair electrical, braking, cooling, fuel and engine systems.
• Inspect trailers and perform repairs on trailer components and systems.
• Document findings, parts used and repairs on RO using company devices.
• Maintain service truck and operate it safely.
• Coordinate with management for repair approvals and parts ordering.
