Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel & Trailer Technician to perform DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and light/medium/heavy repairs in a mobile/field environment. You will diagnose electrical, diesel, and hydraulic systems and document findings using a company iOS app.

The role requires ASE T8 certification within 18 months, a valid DOT medical card, and 21+ years old due to interstate work. Excellent safety and customer-service focus are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with 3 years related experience, or equivalent.
• Possess and supply hand tools necessary to perform required duties.
• Obtain ASE T8 certification within 18 months.
• DOT pre-employment background screening and DOT physical required.
• Must be 21+ due to interstate operation.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM and DOT inspections on mobile/field vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, diesel, and hydraulic systems.
• Inspect and repair trailer equipment and systems.
• Document work orders using TRAIT app on iOS device.
• Maintain service truck and manage parts inventory.
• Communicate with management to obtain approvals on repair estimates.
