Job summary

Cox Automotive, home to Cox Fleet, is hiring a Mobile Diesel & Trailer Technician for on-site and remote-capable work. You will perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light repairs for a range of vehicle types in a mobile setting, with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, at least 3 years in the field, and the ability to obtain/maintain a DOT medical card. ASE certifications and a proactive attitude are a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ related experience.
• DOT/FMCSA regulations familiarity and ability to obtain DOT medical card.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs and DOT inspections on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose, adjust, and repair truck and trailer equipment and systems.
• Maintain company-issued service vehicle; conduct safety checks and pre-/post-trip inspections.
