Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel & Trailer Technician II to perform DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a range of trucks and trailers. The role includes working in a mobile/field environment with an assigned service vehicle to take home nightly.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must possess and provide a set of hand tools.
• Must be able to pass a DOT-regulated pre-employment background check and DOT physical.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM, DOT inspections, and repairs on light to heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field settings.
• Perform minor adjustments and repairs on electrical/brake/cooling systems and related components.
• Diagnose and repair trailer equipment and systems, including brakes and air lines.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and safety.
• Manage service truck inventory and paperwork using company tools.
