Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform licensed DOT inspections, PMs, and light-to-mid repairs in a mobile/field setting. You will diagnose electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems, road test vehicles, and manage parts inventory with careful documentation in RO using the TRAIT app.

The role emphasizes safety, independence, and the ability to schedule daily tasks while meeting performance metrics and DOT/FMSCA requirements.

Qualifications

Perform DOT inspections and preventative maintenance on a mobile fleet.
Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling and engine systems.
Follow safety regulations and DOT/FMCSA requirements.
Maintain accurate records and RO documentation in TRAIT.

Responsibilities

Perform scheduled PM and DOT inspections on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile environment.
Diagnose and repair electrical/braking/cooling systems and engines (gas/diesel).
Road test vehicles to ensure proper operation after repairs.
Manage parts inventory and document findings on RO using TRAIT.
Communicate with management for approvals and updates.
