Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel & Trailer Technician to perform licensed DOT inspections, PMs, and a range of light to heavy-duty repairs in a mobile/field setting. Join a nationwide team with on-site service centers and a 24/7 call center.

Ideal candidates have a HS diploma or GED, 3+ years in a related field, ASE certifications, and a valid driver’s license. DOT background and medical screening will apply; uniforms and tools provided with opportunities for career growth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ related field experience, or equivalent combination.
• Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required duties.
• Complete and pass DOT pre-employment screening and DOT physical as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and DOT inspections on light to heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose, adjust, and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine and transmission systems.
• Inspect and test equipment; road test vehicles to verify proper operation.
• Manage parts inventory and use company-issued tools and devices to document work.
• Communicate with management and customers to obtain approvals and provide updates.
