Job summary

Cox Fleet, headquartered in Indianapolis, is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform licensed DOT inspections, PMs, and light repairs in a mobile/field environment. You will diagnose electrical and mechanical systems, document work on Repair Orders using an iOS device, and maintain the service truck inventory while meeting safety standards.

This role requires independence, strong time management, and the ability to work Sunday to Wednesday night shifts in a national fleets support

Qualifications

• Licensed DOT inspections experience in a mobile/field setting.
• Perform preventive maintenance inspections and basic follow-up repairs.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, and engine systems in trucks.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM and DOT inspections on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose, adjust and repair electrical/hydraulic/electrical systems, and related components.
• Road test vehicles to verify operation after repairs.
• Document all findings and parts used on Repair Orders using the TRAIT app on an iOS device.
• Accurately complete DOT forms and other documentation in a timely fashion.
• Manage parts inventory and maintain the company service truck.
• Work with clients to assess needs and provide information or assistance as required.
• Maintain safety checks and daily vehicle readiness.
