Job summary

Cox Fleet, headquartered in Indianapolis, is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to support on-site maintenance for fleets nationwide. You will perform DOT inspections, PMs, and light repairs on trucks in a mobile environment, using diagnostic tools and company procedures.

Responsibilities include diagnosing electrical and mechanical systems, managing parts from service trucks, and documenting RO details in the TRAIT app while meeting safety and DOT requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; 3 years related experience or 5 years alternative.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months; DOT/FMCSA compliance and DOT medical card requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM, DOT inspections and follow-up repairs on light to heavy vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems on trucks and trailers.
• Inspect, test, and diagnose defects using test instruments and road testing when needed.
• Document findings and parts used on Repair Orders via the TRAIT app and upload supporting photos.
