Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform PMs, DOT inspections, and light to heavy-duty repairs in a mobile environment across fleets nationwide. You will diagnose electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems, manage inventory, and maintain service trucks while communicating with customers and management.

The role requires ASE T8 certification within 18 months, a valid CDL, and the ability to work independently with safety on top of mind.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED; 3 years in related field or 5 years experience
• ASE T8 (PMI) required within 18 months
• DOT/FMCSA regulated pre-employment screening and DOT medical card requirements

Responsibilities

• Perform PM and DOT inspections on light to heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment
• Diagnose, repair and adjust electrical, braking, cooling, engine, and hydraulic systems
• Maintain and operate service truck and inventory; document RO findings in TRAIT app
