Job summary

Cox Fleet in Indianapolis and nationwide provides on-site mobile maintenance for light to heavy-duty trucks. We are hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, PMs, and repairs in a mobile/field environment.

The role requires AS E T8 PMI certification within 18 months, a valid CDL, and the ability to work independently while meeting safety and performance metrics.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field.
• Right candidate could have different combination; or 5 years’ experience in related field.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM, DOT inspections and follow-up repairs on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair electrical/braking/cooling systems, engine electronics, and drivelines.
• Inspect, test and identify malfunctions using hand tools and diagnostic devices.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and performance.
• Maintain parts inventory and reconcile inventory regularly.
• Complete DOT forms and other documentation promptly.
