Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel & Trailer Technician in Shreveport, LA. The role performs DOT inspections, PMs, and light-to-heavy repairs in a mobile environment, with a focus on electrical, braking, and engine systems.

Responsibilities include diagnosing issues, managing parts, and documenting repairs via TRAIT app. DOT compliance, ASE certifications, and valid CDL/DMV requirements apply, with safety and customer service emphasized.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School diploma or GED or equivalent experience in related field.
• Obtain ASE T3/ T4/ T5/ T6/ T7 certifications; DOT/FMCSA compliance.
• Minimum 3 years' field experience with diesel trucks or related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled maintenance and DOT inspections on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field settings.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling systems and engine components.
• Perform trailer maintenance including brakes, air lines, and liftgates.
• Use diagnostic tools and handheld devices to document findings and RO updates.
• Maintain and organize inventory and company vehicle readiness.
• Communicate with customers and management to approve repairs and schedules.
