Cox Automotive – USA is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and diagnostics in a field setting using a company service truck. Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field.
• Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
• Obtain ASE certification within eighteen (18) months.
• DOT regulatory pre-employment background screening and DOT physical.
• Valid driver's license and ability to operate company vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and DOT inspections on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine, and transmission systems as part of routine service.
• Manage parts inventory and document RO findings using a company iOS device and TRAIT.
• Maintain safety checks and daily pre/post trip inspections of the service truck.
• Communicate with customers to assess needs and provide timely, accurate repair estimates.
