Job summary

Cox Automotive - USA is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician II- DOT to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance and diagnostics in the field. You will work independently in the field and manage a service truck with telematics while maintaining accurate service documentation.

This role requires DOT regulatory compliance, ASE certification progress, and the ability to operate a company vehicle while delivering excellent customer service and safety.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED with 3 years of related experience, or 5 years of related experience with no degree.
• Must have own hand tools.
• Able to obtain ASE T8 (PMI) within 18 months.
• DOT/FMCSA regulated screening and DOT physical requirement prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and DOT inspections on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine and transmission systems.
• Utilize diagnostic tools and handheld devices to document work and keep records accurate.
