Job summary

Cox Automotive Inc. is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light-to-mid repairs in a mobile field setting. The role supports on-site fleet service nationwide with a strong emphasis on safety and compliance.

The Technician will diagnose, repair, and document findings, manage parts and tools, and collaborate with clients to meet repair estimates while maintaining productivity metrics.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and 3 years’ related experience, or 5 years’ related field experience.
• Possess and supply a set of hand tools.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• DOT pre-employment background check and DOT physical as required.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain Driver Qualification File.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections and PMs on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and diagnose issues.
• Manage parts inventory and service truck equipment.
• Document work with RO entries via TRAIT app.
