Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and light-to-mid repairs in a mobile/field environment. You will diagnose electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems, road test vehicles, and document all work using our TRAIT app.

OSHA/DOT compliance and safety are essential. The role emphasizes independent scheduling, parts procurement, and collaboration with customers, with opportunities for skill growth and a clear career path

Qualifications

• Perform scheduled DOT inspections and PMs on light/medium/heavy vehicles.
• Aspiring to advance technical skills with diagnostics and repairs under supervision.
• Maintain safety and regulatory compliance (OSHA, EPA, DOT).
• Possess necessary hand tools to perform duties and document RO work.

Responsibilities

• Perform PMs and DOT inspections in mobile/field setting.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and diesel systems.
• Road test vehicles and verify proper operation after service.
• Document findings and parts usage per company standards.
