Job summary

Cox Fleet By Cox Automotive is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and diagnostics in a mobile/field setting. You will inspect, repair, and diagnose light to heavy‑duty vehicles, manage parts, and document work using our TRAIT app on an iOS device.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ related experience, or 5 years in a related field.
• Must supply a set of hand tools.
• ASE T8 (PMI) within 18 months.
• DOT pre-employment background check and DOT physical compliance.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM and DOT inspections on light to heavy‑duty vehicles in mobile/field settings.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, brakes, cooling, engines, and drive components.
• Inspect, test, and document findings using company standards and RO uploads via TRAIT.
