Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, PMs and light to heavy repairs in a mobile/field setting. You will diagnose, repair, and test vehicle systems, manage parts on a service truck, and maintain safety and compliance per DOT regulations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 3 years related experience, or 5 years related field experience.
• Must supply hand tools to perform duties.
• Obtain ASE T8 (PMI) within 18 months.
• DOT/FMCSA regulations compliance and pre-employment screening.
• DOT medical card or DOT physical as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM and DOT inspections on light, medium and heavy‑duty vehicles in mobile/field settings.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, engine, transmission and other systems.
• Inspect and test equipment, road test to verify repairs.
• Manage parts inventory and maintain company vehicle and safety checks.
• Communicate with clients and management to obtain approvals and notes.
• Complete DOT forms and documentation promptly.
