Job summary

Cox Fleet seeks a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, PMs, and light to mid-level repairs in a mobile/field setting. You will diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, fuel, and engine systems, using handheld tools and diagnostic equipment.

Independent management of schedule and parts is required. You’ll adhere to DOT/OSHA regulations, maintain safety standards, and complete repair orders with photos via TRAIT on a company device.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field.
• Possess and supply a set of hand tools.
• Obtain ASE T8 (PMI) within 18 months.
• DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical required.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs and DOT inspections on light to heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
• Perform minor repairs and diagnostics on electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems.
• Diagnose malfunctions using test instruments and road test vehicles to verify repairs.
