Job summary

Cox Fleet by Cox Automotive is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light to moderate repairs in a mobile/field setting. You will diagnose using handheld tools, document findings on RO via TRAIT app, and work with supervision to meet safety and quality standards.

This role requires a HS diploma or GED, ASE T8 certification within 18 months, and a valid DOT medical card.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 3 years’ related field experience or 5 years’ related field experience in lieu.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months must have.
• DOT pre-employment background screening and DOT physical required; valid DOT medical card preferred if available.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs, DOT inspections, and repairs in a mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, fuel, and engine systems.
• Test vehicles, road test, and verify proper operation after repairs.
• Manage parts and tools, document repairs with RO and TRAIT app.
• Communicate with clients and management to obtain approvals and updates.
