Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, PMs, and repairs in a mobile/field environment. You’ll diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, and engine systems while maintaining documentation on a company-issued device.

Expect to manage parts, coordinate with supervision, and operate safely under DOT regulations. Training and ongoing skill development are emphasized.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED with 3 years’ related experience, or equivalent with more education/experience.
• Understanding of DOT/FMCSA regulations and pre-employment screening requirements.
• Tools readiness and ASE T8 certification within 18 months.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections, PMs, and repairs in mobile/field settings.
• Diagnose, adjust, and repair electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems.
• Road test vehicles and document findings on RO via TRAIT app.
• Manage parts inventory and coordinate with management for approvals.
• Adhere to safety, health, and environmental policies and DOT regulations.
• Maintain service truck and perform pre-/post-trip inspections.
