Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light-to-heavy repairs on trucks in a mobile/field environment. You will diagnose, repair, and road-test equipment while maintaining accurate service records.

The role requires a HS Diploma or GED, ASE T8 certification within 18 months, and the ability to work independently with safety compliance. Weekly pay and company-provided tools support your career growth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with related field experience or equivalent.
• DOT inspections certification or ability to obtain DOT compliance.
• Familiarity with diagnostic tools and field service procedures.
• Ability to work independently in mobile/field environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on light to heavy trucks in mobile/field settings.
• Diagnose, adjust, and repair electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and safety before returning to service.
• Document findings and time on RO using company-issued device and TRAIT app.
