Job summary

CoxFleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light-to-mid repairs in a mobile field environment across our service network.

Responsibilities include diagnostics, road tests, and accurate documentation using a company iOS device. Applicants should have a HS diploma/GED, 3 years’ related experience, and ASE T8 within 18 months.

Qualifications

• 3 years’ experience in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Able to obtain ASE T8 (PMI) within 18 months.
• Must pass a DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical.
• Valid state driver’s license and ability to operate company vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs, DOT inspections and follow-up repairs in a mobile/field setting.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems on trucks.
• Inspect, test, and listen to equipment to identify malfunctions using standard tools.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and diagnose residual issues.
• Manage parts inventory, documentation, and RO uploads via TRAIT app.
