Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and select repairs in a mobile/field setting. This role supports light, medium and heavy-duty trucks, with safety compliance and high productivity expectations.

The position requires ASE T8 certification within 18 months, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work independently in various locations. Competitive hourly pay and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED required, plus 3 years related experience or 5 years related field experience.
ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
DOT/FMCSA pre-employment screen and DOT physical required.
Must hold valid state driver’s license and be able to maintain Driver Qualification File.

Responsibilities

Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and DOT inspections on light, medium and heavy trucks in a mobile/field environment.
Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, engine, and transmission systems.
Inspect and road-test vehicles to ensure proper operation after service.
Maintain service truck and inventory; document RO findings with photos via mobile device.
