Job summary

CoxFleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and light to moderate repairs on trucks in a mobile/field setting. You will diagnose electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems, test and road‑test vehicles, and manage parts on a service truck with TRAIT app documentation.

A valid CDL and ASE T8 certification timeline apply. You will work under supervision of senior techs, maintaining safety standards and meeting performance metrics

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with related field experience or equivalent combination.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months of hire.
• DOT/FMCSA eligibility and valid DOT medical/DOT background screening.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on various vehicle types in mobile/field settings.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine, and hydraulic systems as needed.
• Inspect, test, and road-test vehicles to verify proper operation and safety.
• Manage parts inventory on service truck and record work via iOS device and TRAIT app.
• Complete DOT forms and related documentation promptly and accurately.
• Coordinate with management for repair estimates and approvals, maintaining productivity.
