Job summary

CoxFleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to service fleets on-site across our mobile/field network. The role focuses on licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance and light to mid-level repairs for trucks and trailers, often at customer locations.

The technician will diagnose electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems, maintain records via the TRAIT app, and support safety and compliance standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent experience.
• 3 years in a related field; alternative with 5 years acceptable.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• DOT/FMCSA regulated pre-employment checks required.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections and PM inspections on light to heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field settings.
• Carry out minor repairs and diagnostics on electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems.
• Inspect, test and diagnose equipment using handheld devices and diagnostic tools.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and function; document findings.
• Manage parts inventory and company-provided service truck operations.
