Job summary

Cox Fleet By Cox Automotive is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light-to-heavy repairs in a mobile/field environment. You will diagnose, repair, and test vehicle systems while documenting work and maintaining parts inventory on the service truck.

Responsibilities include road testing, following safety procedures, coordinating with customers and management, and ensuring DOT compliance.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• DOT background check and a DOT medical card may be required.
• Valid driver’s license and 21+ years old.

Responsibilities

• Perform PMs, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs in mobile/field settings.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling systems on trucks.
• Inspect, test, and listen to equipment using test instruments.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs.
• Manage parts on service truck and document RO using TRAIT app.
• Complete DOT forms promptly and maintain safety compliance.
