Job summary

Cox Fleet in Tampa, FL is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and light mechanical repairs on heavy- and medium-duty vehicles in a mobile/field setting. You will diagnose systems and follow safety standards while maintaining service-truck inventory and reporting in the TRAIT app.

The role requires ASE T8 certification within 18 months, a high school diploma or GED, and DOT pre-employment screening with a valid CDL/driver's license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; related field experience acceptable.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• DOT pre-employment screening and DOT physical required.

Responsibilities

• Perform PM, DOT inspections, and repairs on vehicles in a mobile/field setting.
• Diagnose electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems using handheld tools.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and ensure proper operation.
• Maintain inventory on service truck and document RO in TRAIT app.
