Job summary

Cox Fleet, a nationwide on-site mobile maintenance provider led from Indianapolis, seeks a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II. You will perform DOT inspections, PMs and light repairs in a mobile/field setting, using diagnostic tools and hand tools.

Requires ASE T8 within 18 months, DOT background, a valid DOT medical card or DOT physical plan, and a valid driver's license. Training and career growth available.

Qualifications

• Must have HS diploma/GED or higher.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• DOT background check and DOT physical required before employment.
• Candidate must be at least 21 years old and hold a valid driver’s license.
• Must supply hand tools for duties.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs and DOT inspections on light to heavy vehicles in mobile/field settings.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and diagnose malfunctions.
• Maintain service truck and manage parts inventory; document work orders.
• Communicate with management and customers to obtain approvals and notes.
