Job summary

Cox Fleet by Cox Automotive is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, PMs, and light to heavy repairs on fleet vehicles in a mobile environment. You will diagnose electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems and document work with iOS tools.

The role requires a HS diploma or GED, ASE T8 certification within 18 months, and a valid driver’s license. Expect a field-based schedule with weekly pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required with 3 years’ related field experience, or related discipline with additional education.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification must be obtained within 18 months of hire.
• DOT/FMCSA background screening and DOT physical requirements.
• Valid state driver’s license and ability to obtain a Driver Qualifications File.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM and DOT inspections on light, medium, and heavy vehicles in mobile/field environments.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine, and fuel systems and related components.
• Perform road tests and document findings; communicate with management for approvals and PO numbers.
