Job summary

Cox Fleet by Cox Automotive is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform PMs, DOT inspections, and light to heavy repairs in a mobile/field setting. You’ll diagnose electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems, document findings, and manage parts on a service truck with safety as a priority.

Requirements include a HS diploma/GED and 3 years in related field (or 5 years experience). ASE T8 cert within 18 months; valid DOT card and license required.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED; 3 years in a related field; or 5 years of related experience.
• Must obtain ASE T8 (PMI) within 18 months.
• DOT/FMCSA regulations knowledge and DOT pre-employment checks.

Responsibilities

• Perform PMs and DOT inspections on light to heavy vehicles in mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose, repair, and adjust electrical, brake, cooling, and engine systems.
• Inspect vehicles, road test, and document RO findings using TRAIT app.
• Manage parts inventory and field service truck upkeep.
• Coordinate with management for repair estimates and approvals.
