Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to service light, medium and heavy-duty trucks in a mobile/field environment. You will perform DOT inspections, PMs, and repairs, using diesel tools and hand tools, while documenting findings on repair orders via an iOS device.

The role emphasizes independent scheduling, safety compliance, and effective communication with clients and management. ASE T8 certification within 18 months is required, with OSHA/EPA/DOT regulations guiding daily

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; 3 years in related field or 5 years of related experience.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification required within 18 months of hire.
• Valid DOT regulations knowledge and ability to pass DOT physical/background.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs, DOT inspections and follow-up repairs on fleet trucks in mobile/field settings.
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical and hydraulic issues and perform repairs to vehicle systems.
• Document work in RO system, upload photos, and communicate findings to management.
