Job summary

Cox Fleet by Cox Automotive is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, PMs, and repairs on light to heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field setting.

You will diagnose electrical, hydraulic, and braking systems, maintain safety checks, and ensure compliance with DOT requirements. A strong candidate will hold HS diploma and obtain ASE T8 within 18 months, with reliable driving credentials.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and 3 years in a related field; 5 years may substitute.
• Own a set of hand tools.
• ASE T8 certification within 18 months.
• DOT/FMCSA compliance with pre-employment screening and DOT physical.

Responsibilities

• Perform PM, DOT inspections and follow-up repairs in mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical/braking/cooling systems and other truck components.
• Inspect, test and diagnose equipment; road test to confirm maintenance.
• Manage parts inventory and document work orders with TRAIT app.
• Complete DOT forms and maintain safety and regulatory compliance.
