Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform PMs, DOT inspections, and repairs for light, medium, and heavy trucks in a mobile/field environment. The role requires tooling, safety compliance, and the ability to manage parts and documentation on the go.

Qualifications

• Requires HS diploma/GED and 3 years’ related experience, or 5 years’ related experience.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• DOT/FMCSA regulated pre-employment screen and DOT physical.
• Valid state driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and DOT inspections in a mobile/field setting.
• Diagnose and repair various truck systems (electrical, braking, cooling, engine, transmission).
• Test and road test vehicles to verify proper operation.
• Maintain and operate service vehicle and inventory; document RO data on iOS and TRAIT app.
• Communicate with management to obtain approvals and purchase orders.
