Job summary

Cox Fleet in the United States is seeking a Mobile Diesel and Trailer Technician Level II to perform licensed DOT inspections, PMs, and light repairs in a mobile/field environment. The role follows a Friday–Monday shift (7 AM – 5 PM) and requires you to diagnose and repair various truck systems while maintaining safety and compliance.

You will document findings using the TRAIT app on an iOS device, manage parts on the service truck, and coordinate with management for approvals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 3 years' related experience, or 5 years' related field experience.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting and standing for long periods.
• Strong communication and ability to work with clients and teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on light to heavy‑duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, engine, and transmission systems; use diagnostic tools.
• Inspect, test, and listen to equipment to identify malfunctions; road test vehicles.
• Manage parts inventory and company vehicle; document work orders with RO and TRAIT app.
