Job summary

CoxFleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light-to-heavy repairs on a mobile/field fleet. The role requires strict adherence to safety standards and the ability to work remotely from a specified city/region with evening shifts.

The candidate will diagnose electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems, manage parts inventory, and document work using the TRAIT app.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required or higher related qualification.
• Must obtain ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• Ability to pass DOT pre-employment background screen and DOT physical.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections and scheduled PMs on light/medium/heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field setting.
• Diagnose, adjust, and repair electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems.
• Inspect, test, and road test vehicles to ensure proper operation.
• Manage parts inventory and company-provided service truck equipment.
• Complete DOT forms and maintenance records accurately.
