Job summary

CoxFleet seeks a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, PMs, and light to heavy repairs in a mobile/field setting. You will diagnose electrical, hydraulic, and engine issues, manage parts, and document work using TRAIT on an iOS device.

The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and customer communication, with a clear path to advanced skills under supervision. Weekly pay and PPE benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED with 3–5 years related experience or equivalent.
• Own a set of hand tools to perform required duties.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months of hire.
• DOT background screening and DOT physical per FMCSA regulations.
• Valid driver’s license; must be 21+ due to interstate operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs and DOT inspections on light–heavy vehicles in mobile/field environments.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, braking, cooling, and engine systems.
• Document work performed and parts used in RO via TRAIT iOS app; manage parts inventory.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip safety checks and operate company service truck.
