Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform licensed DOT inspections, PMs, and light-to-medium repairs in a mobile/field setting. You’ll diagnose issues, operate diagnostic equipment, and document findings on Repair Orders using company devices.

This role emphasizes safety, precision, and strong customer communication with a focus on reliability. You will work under supervision of senior technicians, maintain vehicle readiness, manage parts on the service truck, and ensure

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with related field experience or alternative combination.
• Obtain ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months of hire.
• Must be able to pass DOT background screening and DOT physical.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs in mobile/field setting.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine, and related systems.
• Document work and parts used on RO via iOS device and TRAIT app.
• Maintain service truck, perform pre/post-trip inspections, and ensure safety.
