Job summary

Cox Fleet, a division of Cox Automotive, is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform licensed DOT inspections, PMs, and light to follow-up repairs in a mobile/field environment.

The role requires proactive diagnostics, tool management, and adherence to safety and DOT regulations. Work is Monday–Friday with some weekend work upon request; hours are variable as jobs demand.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED plus 3 years' related field experience.
• Alternative: higher degree/certification or 5 years' related experience.
• Must possess and supply a set of hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), DOT inspections and follow-up repairs on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine and transmission systems on trucks and trailers.
• Inspect, test and listen to equipment to diagnose malfunctions using handheld tools and gauges.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and determine overall roadworthiness.
• Maintain and operate company vehicles and manage safety checks and pre/post-trip inspections.
