Job summary

Fleet Services by Cox Automotive seeks a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on fleet vehicles in a mobile/field setting. You’ll work independently and use a company‑issued service truck to reach customer sites.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED with relevant field experience, ASE PMI/T8 certification within 18 months, and a clean DOT/medical record.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with 3 years' related field experience or equivalent
• ASE certification T8 (PMI) within 18 months
• DOT pre-employment background check and DOT physical required
• Valid DOT medical card or willingness to obtain

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM, DOT inspections and follow-up repairs on light to heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field settings.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine, and transmission systems.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and diagnostic results.
• Manage parts inventory and maintain service truck.
• Document work and upload RO details via TRAIT app.
