Job summary

Fleet Services by Cox Automotive seeks a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on light to heavy-duty vehicles in on-site mobile/field settings. You’ll operate a company-issued service truck, document RO findings, and drive on-site customer satisfaction.

Eligible candidates have a HS diploma or GED with years of related experience and must obtain ASE T8 within 18 months, plus pass DOT/FMCSA screenings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 3 years’ related experience; or 5 years’ related field experience.
• Must obtain ASE (PMI) T8 within 18 months and pass DOT/FMCSA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs, DOT inspections, and repairs on light to heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field settings.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems on trucks and trailers.
• Inspect, test, and road-test vehicles to ensure proper operation after service.
• Maintain and inventory parts on company service truck and document work via TRAIT on iOS devices.
