Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform DOT inspections, preventive maintenance and diagnostics on a mobile/field basis. You will handle repairs, document findings, and manage parts for efficient service.

The role offers independent work with a company-provided service vehicle and opportunities for professional growth. Training and safety compliance are emphasized throughout the position.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED with 3+ years in related field or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license; able to obtain DOT medical card
• ASE T8 PMI certification within 18 months
• DOT background check and medical examination required

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM and DOT inspections on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field environment
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, engine and diesel systems
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and operating condition
• Maintain and operate company service truck and document work in TRAIT app
• Obtain parts from approved vendors and manage inventory
