Job summary

Cox Automotive, Inc. is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, diagnostics and repairs in the field.

You will work independently with a company-issued service truck and a 2:00 pm–10:00 pm schedule or similar rotation, taking the vehicle home when appropriate. Qualified candidates have a High School Diploma/GED with 3 years’ related field experience or 5 years in the field, ASE T8 PMI certification within 18 months, and possess a valid driver’s

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ related field experience; or 5 years’ related field experience.
• Obtain ASE certification T8 (PMI) within 18 months.
• DOT background check and DOT medical requirements are required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, diagnostics and repairs in field service.
• Handle electrical, braking, cooling, engine, and diesel systems diagnostics and repairs.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and ensure proper operation.
• Manage parts inventory and use company service truck for assignments.
• Document work and upload RO findings using TRAIT app and iOS device.
