Job summary

Cox Fleet, with a national footprint in on-site fleet maintenance, is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II. You will perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light to heavy repairs in a mobile/field setting.

Responsibilities include diagnosing electrical and mechanical systems, maintaining safety standards, and coordinating with customers and management. DOT compliance and ASE certifications are required within set timelines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; related field experience also considered.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months or as required by DOT standards.
• DOT/FMCSA pre-employment screening and DOT physical required.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet driving requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on light to heavy trucks in mobile/field environments.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine, and transmission systems.
• Inspect, test, and listen to equipment to diagnose malfunctions using basic test tools.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and ensure proper operation.
• Manage parts inventory on company service truck and document work via RO in TRAIT system.
